The Bing
The Bing is in Poundsgate, right on Dartmoor. It's a thatched longhouse, and we live in the other half next door. The property is a few hundred years old, so the walls are thick and the ceilings are low in places.
It sleeps four, but that's in one double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room. It's better for a couple, really, or a couple with two children. The bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower cubicle. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished.
You can park on the drive. There's a field right there you can use to walk the dogs. We accept up to two pets.
You're right on the moor. You can walk straight out onto it. Hay Tor and Hound Tor are a short drive away. Widecombe-in-the-Moor is about ten minutes by car. It has a couple of pubs and a shop.
For a day out, Buckfast Abbey is about half an hour away. The coast at Teignmouth or Shaldon is about 40 minutes drive. If you want to go further, Exeter and Plymouth are both roughly an hour.
The property has WiFi, a TV, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. We can put out a cot and highchair if you need them.
