Little Meadow
Little Meadow is in Hexworthy, in Dartmoor National Park. It's a detached cottage, so you're on your own. The garden has a small stream along one side.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. We accept one dog.
The local pub is about 350 yards away. They serve food. The nearest shop is six miles away in Princetown, so you'll want to bring supplies with you.
You can walk straight out onto the moor from the door. The West Dart River runs through the village, which is good for a paddle on a warm day. For a longer walk, Widecombe-in-the-Moor is a few miles away. It's got a couple of good pubs and the famous church they call the 'Cathedral on the Moors'.
If you want to drive out, Castle Drogo, the last castle built in England, is about a 30-minute drive. It's a National Trust property. The market towns of Tavistock and Ashburton are also within half an hour. For the coast, Bigbury-on-Sea and Dawlish are about 45 minutes away.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
