Lower Chinkwell is one of the Wooder Manor cottages in Bonehill. It's on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, up a single track lane. It's quiet. You look out over fields.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. Nothing luxurious, but it works. It's all on one floor, which is handy.
Outside, you've got your own bit of patio and garden. There's parking right there for your car. You can bring dogs, up to two.
Inside, it's open plan. Kitchen, dining area, and sitting area all in one room. There's a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's space to store bikes if you bring them.
There's a pub about a mile away in Widecombe. They do food. A shop and a cafe are about the same distance. For a bigger shop, Bovey Tracey is a short drive.
You're right on Dartmoor for walking. Haytor is close, that's good for a climb and the views. For a day out, Becky Falls is wooded and good with kids. Castle Drogo is a National Trust place about a 20 minute drive. The Dartmoor National Park website has walking maps and advice.
If you want to go further, the coast at Teignmouth is about 40 minutes by car. Newton Abbot train station is about half an hour away if you fancy a trip without driving.
