Bagtor Hayloft
Bagtor Hayloft is just outside Haytor Vale on our farm. It's a quiet spot on Dartmoor, right in the middle of it all. You look out over the fields and the moor. Sometimes the cows are right there. In spring you might see calves.
It's a converted hayloft, so it's up some stairs from a private walkway. The stairs inside are a cottage spiral staircase. They're steep and a bit narrow. Just so you know.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. We redid it in 2019 so it's clean and comfortable. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
You can walk straight out onto the moor from the door. The paths are right there. You'll see the ponies. We can arrange stabling for horses if you want to bring them. There's good off-road cycling too.
The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in Ilsington. They're decent. For a bigger shop, Bovey Tracey is about ten minutes by car.
You're well placed for getting around. Exeter is half an hour away. Plymouth and the aquarium are about forty minutes. Dartmoor's all around you, obviously. The coast at Torquay or Teignmouth is about forty minutes if you fancy the sea.
We've included wifi, bedding, towels, a washing machine. There's parking. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
