Mill Cottage
Mill Cottage is in Buckfastleigh. It's a terraced stone cottage on one of the side lanes off the main street. It's a solid, simple place. There's a small walled garden out the back.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms but only one bathroom, so you have to plan showers if you're all going out. It's a 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The ceilings are beamed so watch your head upstairs. The stairs are normal cottage stairs, so a bit steep.
There's a shop and a pub about a minute's walk away. The pub serves food. The outdoor swimming pool in the village is good on a hot day. The steam railway and the butterfly and otter place are right here too, which kids tend to like.
You're right on the edge of Dartmoor. You can drive onto the moor in about ten minutes for walking. For a day out, Totnes is about 15 minutes away and has a good market. Dartmouth and the coast at Brixham or Torquay are all within half an hour's drive.
You're very close to the A38, which is useful for getting around Devon quickly.
The place has a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can park one car on the site. We take up to two dogs.
