The Signal Box
The Signal Box is in Warcombe. It used to be part of the old Primrose Line railway. The main station building is next door, that's our house now. The cottage is detached.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished. The layout is upside down. You go upstairs to the living area and kitchen, then down a spiral staircase to the bedrooms. The stairs are a proper spiral, so they're tight. You need to mind your head.
The main thing is the space outside. You get access to nearly four acres of land with private paths. It's good for a proper walk without leaving the property. The view from upstairs is through the trees and over the river.
There's a shop and a cafe about 200 yards away, at the Avon Mill Garden Centre. The nearest pub is a mile. Kingsbridge is a short drive. It's a proper town with shops and supermarkets.
The coast is about six miles. Bantham and Bigbury are good beaches. The South West Coast Path is there for walking.
For a day out, Dartmouth and Totnes have their castles. The National Trust has a few places nearby like Overbecks and Greenway.
Facilities: it has a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. Garden with a BBQ. We include bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
