Mill Cottage, Marsh Mills
Mill Cottage is in Aveton Gifford. It's a small old flour mill that's been made into a cottage. It's just for two people.
You get your own little south-facing terrace out the front. It looks over the mill pond. There's a nice garden at the back too, which we also use. You can wander down past the mill stream. We have hens, and there are ducks in the orchard.
The stairs inside are a bit steep. It's a three star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not fancy.
The village is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop, a pub, and a village green. The pub does food. You can walk along the tidal road by the river, it's good for watching birds.
For the beach, Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea are about ten minutes by car. You can walk out to Burgh Island from Bigbury at low tide. They have a sea-tractor to bring you back if the tide comes in.
Kingsbridge is four miles away. Salcombe is about seven. Plymouth is seventeen miles to the west. Dartmoor is about half an hour's drive.
The cottage has parking right outside. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs.
