This is 4 Coastguards, in Bigbury on Sea. It's at the top of the beach, so you get the view. It's a modern house, one of a small row.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 5 Star rating – it's just a well-finished, comfortable place. Everything works properly.
The living area is upstairs. That's to make the most of the view. There's a good-sized balcony up there. You can sit out with a coffee and look straight over the beach and the sea.
Downstairs, there's a private garden and an outside shower for rinsing off sand. It's useful. You park right outside the house.
The beach is a two-minute walk. You can see the famous sea tractor from here. It goes over to Burgh Island when the tide's in. The pub over there, The Pilchard Inn, is worth a visit. The Art Deco hotel is there too.
There's a good beach cafe nearby. For anything else, you'd drive to Kingsbridge or Modbury.
The South West Coast Path runs right past. For a different walk, the Avon Estuary path at Bantham is a short drive away.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: dishwasher, washing machine, wi-fi. The kitchen is well-equipped.
