Great Horner

Great Horner is in Moreleigh, Devon. It's a farmhouse and a cottage rented together. They're separate buildings but on the same bit of land, so you get the whole place.

It sleeps twenty people. Eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's good for big groups because of the space. The main house has a dining table that fits everyone, which is handy.

The cottage is about twenty yards from the main house. It has its own kitchen and living room. Some groups use it for grandparents, or for a family who want a bit of quiet.

The garden is large and enclosed. There's a play barn with table tennis, table football, and badminton. Outside, there's a twelve-hole crazy golf course and a big trampoline. All of that is just for your group.

Facilities are what you'd expect: Wi-Fi, washing machines, dishwashers. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger. No pets allowed.

The nearest shop and pub are about a mile away in Halwell. It's a quiet village.

You're in a good spot for getting around. Totnes is four miles away, it's got a market on Fridays. Dartmouth is seven miles, you can get boats from there. Kingsbridge is about the same distance. The coast at Slapton Sands is maybe twenty minutes in the car.

For planning, the National Trust Devon page lists the main houses and coasts. The South Devon National Landscape site has walking information.
