Turbine Cottage is in Tuckenhay, on a bend of the River Dart. It's part of a group of converted mill buildings. The setting is very leafy and quiet.
Sleeps eight, across three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which helps with a group. It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You have access to shared leisure facilities at the mill. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a games room, and a sauna. The gardens have a play area for kids.
The cottage has a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring one dog. Parking is on site.
There's a pub you can walk to along the creek. It does food. The nearest proper shop is in Totnes, about three miles away.
Dartmouth is about five miles. You can go for boat trips or just wander the town. For beaches, Blackpool Sands is about a 20-minute drive. It's a shingle beach with good facilities. Bantham, for surfing, is about half an hour away.
If you like walking, the South West Coast Path is accessible from several points nearby. Dartmoor is about a 30-minute drive for more rugged walks. The National Trust's Greenway, Agatha Christie's old house, is close by on the river.
