Turbine Cottage is in Tuckenhay. It's part of a converted paper mill on Bow Creek, which is a little inlet off the River Dart.
It sleeps eight. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, so everyone gets some space. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not super luxurious but everything works.
The main thing here is the shared facilities on the mill site. There are three swimming pools, two indoors and one outdoors. There's also a games room and a sauna. You have your own patio and garden, but you can walk over to use all that. It's a good setup if you've got kids or just want a base with things to do on site.
There's a riverside pub you can walk to. It serves food. For a bigger shop, you need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles.
Location wise, you're about five miles from Dartmouth. You can drive down there for the day, or get a boat trip. The coast is about a 20 to 30 minute drive. Blackpool Sands is a good sheltered beach. Bantham is good if you want to try surfing.
For walking, you're close to the South West Coast Path and Dartmoor is about half an hour away by car. If you're interested in history, Greenway is nearby.
Facilities in the cottage: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring one dog. There's parking on site.
