Anchorage View is a flat in Dartmouth. It's on the ground floor of a terraced house, right on the river. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the Boat Float and up the river towards Kingswear. You can watch the boats coming and going.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable, and recently done up, but it's still an old building in a maritime town, so expect some character. The floors aren't level everywhere.
The location is the big draw. You step out the front door and you're on the embankment. The shops, cafes, and the passenger ferry over to Kingswear are a two-minute walk. The harbour master's office is next door. It's not quiet, but it's lively. You can bring one dog.
For facilities, it has a dishwasher, a TV, WiFi, and all bedding and towels are included. There's a shower in the bathroom. There is no private parking, but you can pull up outside to unload. The long-stay car park is about a five-minute walk up the hill.
If you want to explore, Dartmouth Castle is a nice walk along the coast path. You can get the ferry across to Kingswear and catch the steam train to Paignton. Totnes, with its castle and market, is about a twenty-minute drive. For wider planning, the National Trust Devon and Dartmouth Town Council sites have good information.
