Buzzards View is in Kingswear, right at the edge of the village. It used to be an apple store for the farm. It's got two bedrooms and sleeps four, with one bathroom.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped. The layout is a bit unusual. The bedrooms and the bathroom are all on the ground floor. You go upstairs for the living area, kitchen and dining space. That's where you get the view. You can see the river and the sea from the big window.
The stairs are old and steep. Not a problem for most, but something to be aware of. The garden is fully enclosed and private. There's parking on the drive for one car.
You're surrounded by fields here. The donkeys from Paignton beach are often in the next field. There are chickens too. It's quiet.
Kingswear itself has a shop, a couple of pubs, and the ferry over to Dartmouth. Dartmouth is where you'll find most of the shops and cafes. The ferry runs all the time.
For beaches, you've got a few choices. Goodrington Sands and Paignton are the closest, about a ten minute drive. Broadsands is similar. For a longer, more open beach, Slapton Sands is about twenty five minutes by car.
The South West Coast Path runs right through Kingswear if you like walking. You can get the river ferry up to Dittisham, or the coastal ferry over to Brixham.
The facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, wifi. It says 'luxury property', which I suppose means it's been done up nicely. You can bring two dogs. There's a stairgate if you need it.
