Pilgrims Cottage
Pilgrims Cottage is in Brixham, right up by the harbour. It's a fisherman's cottage, so it's old and the layout is interesting. There are a fair few steps inside, as you'd expect.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and has everything you need. It's been modernised where it counts, like with central heating and double glazing, but it keeps the old character.
The living room is on the top floor. You get a good view over the harbour and the marina from up there. The steps up to the cottage itself from the harbour are steep and a bit narrow, so you need to be okay with that.
You're literally a minute's walk from the harbour and the town. Everything is on your doorstep. The front door opens onto a lane. There are plenty of pubs and places to eat nearby, and you can watch the fishing boats come and go.
For days out, you're on the South West Coast Path. You can walk to Berry Head, which is a nature reserve. Dartmouth and Torquay are about a half hour drive in opposite directions. Paignton Zoo is about twenty minutes away.
For facilities, it has a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi is included. You can bring up to two dogs. The bedding is provided.
