So, 6 Queens Quay. It's an apartment right on the harbour in Torquay. It's one of eight in the building, which used to be a hotel. They've done it up really well.

It sleeps four, has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. That's quite handy. You can bring one dog. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's a high spec. Good fittings, everything works.

The best thing is the position. You walk out the door and you're on the harbour side. All the cafes and restaurants are right there. If you want a beach, Torre Abbey Sands or Meadfoot are about a fifteen minute walk. Paignton and Brixham are a short drive away.

A few things about the place. It's got a lift, which is unusual. The balcony looks out over the water. The heating is underfloor, which is nice. They've put in a proper kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.

If you're planning days out, the English Riviera website has all the local information. For wider stuff, the National Trust for Devon has properties and walks nearby.
