The Palm Tree is an apartment in Maidencombe, about four miles from Torquay. It's on the coastal road, up the hill from the beach. It's one of a few apartments set in the grounds of the main house, so it's not a standalone cottage.
It sleeps four, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and functional. The beach is about 600 yards down the hill. It's a sheltered cove with a cafe. The local pub is about the same distance.
You're right on the South West Coast Path here. The walk from Watcombe to Maidencombe is good, with woods and cliffs. For a longer stretch, the path goes all the way into Torquay.
Torquay has everything you'd need: shops, restaurants, a theatre, and several beaches like Torre Abbey Sands. Living Coasts is there if you want to see penguins. Babbacombe is close by, with the model village and Bygones. Paignton Zoo is about a twenty minute drive. Dartmoor is within an hour for walks on the tors.
Facilities: there's a patio area, on-site parking, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's a small play area on the grounds. No pets, sorry.
