This is 2 The Bay. It's a flat, one of a set of them built above Torquay Marina. The view is the main thing. You get a proper, uninterrupted look right across Torbay to the headland.
It's a two-bedroom place, sleeps four. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well put together. Everything works and it's clean and modern.
The living room has these big folding doors that open right up. They lead out to a enclosed garden with a little lawn and a patio. You can sit out there with a drink and just watch the boats. The main bedroom has French doors too, so you get the view from there as well.
You're up on the hill, so it's about a ten-minute walk down to the harbour and Torre Abbey Sands beach. The walk back up is a bit steep, just so you know. There's a pub within walking distance. Parking is on site, which is essential round here.
In the flat you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
Torquay's all around you. The Living Coasts zoo is just down the hill. Kents Cavern is about a mile away for the caves. Babbacombe Model Village and the Bygones museum are a short drive. For a bigger day out, you can drive to National Trust places like Coleton Fishacre or the start of the South West Coast Path. Dartmouth and Totnes are both within half an hour.
