New Barn Reservoir
New Barn Reservoir is near Shaldon. It used to be a water reservoir, so the building is a bit different. It's tall inside, with high ceilings and archways. There are big windows looking out over the fields.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom plus a separate wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
The kitchen is a good size for a group. Outside, there are two seating areas. You get good sunsets from up here.
It's quiet. The nearest neighbours are some alpacas in the field next door.
Shaldon village is about a 15 minute walk down the hill. There's a shop, a pub that does food, and a little ferry that goes across the river to Teignmouth. The beach is about a mile and a half away.
If you want a day out, Shaldon Zoo is very close. The South West Coast Path is accessible nearby for walks. Torquay is about a 20 minute drive, Exeter is about 40 minutes, and Dartmoor is within an hour.
For facilities, it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
