Endeavour

Endeavour is a big house on the Ashcombe estate, near Dawlish in South Devon. It sleeps fifteen, which is a lot. There are seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, so you shouldn't have to queue for a shower.

It's a five-star place, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. All the bedrooms have good beds. The floors are either tile or wood, most of the ceilings have original oak beams, and there are leather sofas downstairs. The Wi-Fi is fast and the TVs are Smart TVs. It's a practical sort of house for a big group.

The house is detached and you get your own enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. There's parking right there. Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a games room, and a woodburning stove. Bedding is included, and we can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.

On the estate, there's a heated indoor swimming pool and a sauna you can use. There's also an outdoor kids' play area. The Ashcombe Adventure Centre is less than a mile down the lane. They do quad biking, clay shooting, archery, and paintballing for an extra cost if you fancy it.

The local pub, the Ashcombe Village Club, is a short walk. It's a simple, friendly place with decent beer. They do events and a summer fête.

You're about three miles from the coast at Dawlish. Torquay’s a bit further along. Dartmoor National Park and Exeter are both a twenty-minute drive away. There are a few good beaches within half an hour, like the ones at Torquay and Dawlish Warren.

For local walks and days out, the National Trust Devon page is useful, and the South Devon National Landscape site has information on the area. All the big supermarkets deliver here if you want to order food in.
