Blackberry Cottage

Blackberry Cottage is in Kenton, on the edge of the Exe Estuary. It's a small semi-detached place. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a three star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not a show home, but it's a good solid base.

You've got your own enclosed garden out the back. It's a decent size. There's a woodburning stove in the front room, which is nice in the cooler months.

The village has a shop about ten minutes walk away. There's a restaurant a hundred yards from the front door. The nearest pub is two miles, so you'd likely drive.

The estuary is right there for walks. Powderham Castle is on the edge of the village. It's a medieval castle, still a family home. They open it to the public and do events in summer. It's worth a look.

For a beach day, Dawlish and Teignmouth are a short drive. They're typical Devon seaside towns. Exeter is about fifteen minutes by car. It's good for shopping and history. The canal there is nice for a flat walk.

If you want to go further, Dartmoor is about half an hour's drive. Haldon Forest is good for mountain biking or a walk in the trees. The south coast path is easily reached.

Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid. There's parking for one car on the drive.
