The Sand House
The Sand House is in Exmouth. It's a new-build house, detached, so no neighbours on the other side of the walls. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, sleeps eight. It's got a 5 Star rating.
You're about a 15-minute walk from the sea front and the town centre. You can drive it in three minutes if you'd rather. The house itself is on a residential street.
It was all done up in 2021. Everything's modern and works. The main living space is open plan, kitchen and sitting area together. There's a sun room off the back and a balcony that looks over the garden. The garden has a patio area and a BBQ.
Two bedrooms are on the ground floor. One has twin beds that can be zipped together to make a king, and there's a trundle bed option there too. The other ground floor room has a double. The main bathroom is on that floor with a bath and a separate shower cubicle.
Upstairs is a second living space with a double sofa bed in it, so that can be a fourth bedroom if you need it. It leads through to the main bedroom which has a kingsize bed. There's a second bathroom up there with a shower.
Facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TVs, a coffee machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair available. No pets.
Exmouth beach is two miles of sand. You can do all the watersports from there if that's your thing. For a walk, the South West Coast Path is right there. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline nearby, like Orcombe Point.
If you want to explore, Budleigh Salterton is about ten minutes by car. Sidmouth, Beer, and Branscombe are all within half an hour. Dartmoor is about 40 minutes' drive inland. Exeter is 20 minutes or so up the road.
