The Bungalow
The Bungalow is on a quiet cul-de-sac in Topsham. It’s detached so you’ve got your own space. The name is right, it’s a bungalow, so everything’s on one level. That’s good if you don’t want stairs.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom with a shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating. That means it’s well kept and comfortable. The back garden is enclosed. It’s mainly patio, so low maintenance.
You can walk into Topsham in a few minutes. There are shops, a couple of proper pubs, and places to eat about 300 yards away. The passenger ferry across the Exe to Exmouth runs from near the church.
The Exe Estuary is right there. It’s a nature reserve, good for birdwatching. The South West Coast Path runs along it. Exmouth has a big sandy beach. It’s about a seven mile drive, or you can get the ferry.
Exeter is about a fifteen minute drive. The cathedral is worth seeing. Woodbury Common is on the other side of town for walking. Dartmoor is further, maybe forty-five minutes.
For local outings, I’d look at the National Trust Devon page for places like Killerton. The South West Coast Path site has walking routes.
Facilities: it’s got everything you’d expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for two cars on the driveway. You can bring one dog.
