The Stables
The Stables is next to our house. It's a converted stable block on one level, so it's all flat inside. There's a double bedroom with its own shower room, and a twin bedroom with a separate bathroom.
You get a private courtyard and a separate lawned garden. The garden is bigger than you might expect. There's a tennis court you can use. We keep rackets and balls in the summer house. There's parking for two cars right outside.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, but not luxury. Everything you need is there. The kitchen is fine. There's a TV, WiFi, and a collection of old books and DVDs. There's also a washing machine if you ask.
The location is good if you want to get to Exeter or the coast without being right in the middle of it. Exeter is about ten minutes by car, or you can use the Park and Ride which is five minutes away. The Jurassic Coast is a 20-25 minute drive. Sidmouth and Exmouth are the closest beaches.
For walking, you've got the East Devon Way or the coast path. For a day out, Killerton or Knightshayes are good if you like gardens. Dartmoor is about 40 minutes drive if you want proper moorland.
There's a local pub about a mile away that does food. A few more are within a five minute drive. No pets, sorry.
