The Old Telephone Exchange
The Old Telephone Exchange is in Ashcombe. It's pretty remote. You're about twenty minutes from the beach at Dawlish Warren. It's a bungalow, detached.
It's a three star place, which is fine. It's clean and warm. It sleeps four, but it's really for a couple or a solo traveller, plus maybe two small kids. Just the one bedroom, and it's right next to the living area. The bedroom is curtained off from the living space, which works well enough.
There's one wet room on the ground floor. Kitchen has what you need. It has a wood burner. There's a patio door in the bedroom that leads to the garden.
Now, the mezzanine. There's a mattress up there, but I wouldn't use it. The stairs are very steep and you have to really watch your head. It's there, but consider it storage.
The garden is great. It looks out over the fields. There's outdoor furniture and a BBQ. We say pets are allowed, but you need to watch them. A small dog might find gaps. It's only partially enclosed.
The whole place is very quiet, hardly any traffic. Good for seeing stars. You'll probably see deer. Haldon Forest is just down the road for walks or cycling. If you drive, Dawlish Warren and Teignmouth aren't far. Exeter is about half an hour.

Good parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. The main entrance and everything inside is level, so it's suitable for a wheelchair.
