Crows Nest

Crows Nest is a terraced cottage in Dawlish. It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's rated 4 Star, which is good. It's comfortable and modern, but it's still a family holiday house.

The front door opens into a hallway. Bedrooms one and two are right there on the ground floor, one double and one twin. You can zip-link the twin beds together to make a super king if you'd rather. There's a shower room downstairs too.

The kitchen is off the hallway. It's got all the usual stuff, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The door leads out to the back patio. There's garden furniture, a gas barbecue, and a hot tub out there. The hot tub has a Bluetooth speaker and coloured lights.

The living room is also on the ground floor. Patio doors go through to the conservatory, which leads to the garden. It's a wrap-around garden, partly decked, partly lawned. It's south-facing so it gets the sun all day. The views from the garden are the main thing, really. You can see the sea clearly. It's a great spot.

Upstairs are two more double bedrooms, both with plenty of storage. One of them has sea views and a Smart TV. The main family bathroom is upstairs too. It has a bath and a separate shower cubicle, and it also has sea views.

You can fit about three cars on the driveway. The beach is about three-quarters of a mile away. You can walk it.

You can bring up to two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. WiFi and a TV are provided.

Dawlish Warren and the beach are the obvious local draws. For a day out, Exeter is about half an hour's drive. The Dartmoor National Park is closer, maybe 25 minutes. For general planning, Visit Devon is a good site.
