5 Shoreside
5 Shoreside is one of a small row of houses right on the bank of the River Teign in Shaldon. It was built a little while ago to fit in with the village. It's a three bedroom house, sleeping six, with two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star property, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The house is straightforward inside. The main thing is the view from the back over the river. You can watch the boats from there. There's a patio with a bit of garden.
It's a five minute walk into Shaldon village. There's a couple of pubs that do food, a good bakery, a butcher, and a few other shops. Everything you need is there. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Teignmouth or Newton Abbot.
From the house, you can walk along the river path. If you go up through the village to The Ness, you get a great view out to sea. Shaldon Zoo is up there too. The little ferry from the beach goes over to Teignmouth. That's a nice way to get across.
Teignmouth has a pier, a long beach, and the usual seaside things. If you want to go further, Exeter is about half an hour's drive for shopping or the cathedral. Dartmoor is about 40 minutes away. Torquay is roughly 25 minutes in the other direction.
The house has parking and an electric vehicle charger. There's WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. We don't allow pets.
