5 Shoreside is in Shaldon, right on the River Teign. It's a modern house, one of a small row, built to fit in with the village. From the front you're looking straight out at the river.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The shower in the main bathroom is a walk-in one.
Shaldon itself is a proper village. There are a couple of nice pubs along the front, some good cafes, and the local shops cover most things. You don't really need to leave for basics.
There's a little passenger ferry that goes from the beach across to Teignmouth. It takes about five minutes. Teignmouth has a pier, a longer beach, and more shops.
If you walk up through the village to The Ness, you get a great view out to sea. Shaldon Wildlife Trust is up there too. It's a small, family-run zoo.
For a day out, Exeter is about half an hour's drive. They've got the cathedral, good shopping, and the quay. For coast walks, the South West Coast Path runs right through Teignmouth. You can walk to Labrador Bay from here.
For facilities: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, wifi, and a garden patio. Parking is right outside. There's an electric vehicle charger. Sorry, no pets.
