It’s Huccaby Tor. It’s an apartment on the coastal road above Maidencombe beach. It’s one of a few in a small complex, terraced into the hill. You’re in the grounds of the main house but it’s separate.
It sleeps four, but it’s one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area. One bathroom. It’s a 3 Star place, so it’s clean and functional. It’s good for a couple or a small family. You can bring one dog.
The beach is about a ten minute walk down the hill. It’s sheltered, with a café. The Thatched Inn pub is down there too. The coastal path runs right past, so you can walk from there.
Torquay town centre is about four miles away. It’s got all the shops and restaurants you’d expect. The harbour, beaches like Torre Abbey Sands, and things like Living Coasts are there. National Trust has a few places nearby if that’s your thing.
For a day out, Babbacombe Model Village is close. Paignton Zoo is about a twenty minute drive. Dartmoor is within half an hour if you want to get up onto the moor.
What’s here: there’s an enclosed patio garden, parking, wifi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. There’s a kids’ play area on site.
