Bay View Abbey Sands
This is Bay View. It's an apartment on the second floor of the Abbey Sands building in Torquay. The architect designed it to look a bit like a 1930s cruise ship, with those curved balconies.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and equipped. Everything is included, like bedding and towels. It's all on one level and there's a lift, so it's suitable for wheelchair users.
The main thing is the view. You're right opposite Torre Abbey Sands beach. The balcony runs the whole length of the flat, so you get an uninterrupted view right across Torbay. You can sit out there and just watch the boats.
You have a private parking space. Once you're parked, you can leave the car. There are restaurants and bars right downstairs in the building. The marina, the town centre, and a few local attractions like Living Coasts and the Model Village are all a short walk away. The beach is just across the road.
If you do want to drive, you're well placed. Dartmoor National Park is about half an hour away. You can be in Exeter or Plymouth in under an hour. Paignton Zoo is close by, and there are steam train trips from nearby.
