It's a ground floor flat in a modern block in Brixham. It's called Dual View because you can see the harbour from the front and the sea out the back. It's for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well put together.
The main thing is the view from the living room. You look right across the harbour and out to sea. There's a big balcony to sit on. We keep a pair of binoculars there so you can watch the boats.
It's about five minutes walk downhill to get to the harbour front and the shops. It's a steady walk back up. The flat is on the ground floor, so there are no internal stairs to worry about.
The heating is mostly from a shared system for the building. It comes on at set times between October and May. You can turn your radiators up or down. There are also electric heaters in the flat if you need a boost. It's fine, just something to be aware of.
You've got your own parking space, which is a real help in Brixham. WiFi works. No pets, sorry.
Breakwater Beach and Fishcombe Cove are a short walk. For a longer coastal walk, the South West Coast Path goes right through town. Paignton Zoo and the model village in Babbacombe are about a 20 minute drive. The National Trust looks after a few houses and gardens in the area, like Coleton Fishacre, which is roughly half an hour away.
