Broadacre House

Broadacre House is on the edge of Brixham. It's about a ten minute walk into the harbour area from here. The house sleeps eight, but it's in three bedrooms. Two of them are double rooms and one has those super king beds that split into twins. There's one main bathroom.

We've just finished renovating it all. So it's clean and everything works. The kitchen is new. You get a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer.

There's a small living room with a TV, and a separate snug room downstairs. That has a double sofa bed in it. It's good if someone wants to watch something different, or if you've got kids who need their own space.

Outside, there's an enclosed garden out the back with a bit of patio and some grass. It's not huge, but it's private and safe for a dog. We take one well-behaved pet. There's parking on the drive for one car.

Access wise: you come in through a side door. There's a small step at the front but it's manageable for a wheelchair to get over the threshold. The main living area, one bedroom, and the bathroom are all on the ground floor. The stairs to the upper floor are normal, not too steep.

Brixham itself is a proper working harbour. Fish and chips, boat trips, that kind of thing. For a bigger beach, you can drive to Goodrington Sands or Broadsands in about ten minutes.

If you want to explore further, Dartmouth and Torquay are both about twenty minutes drive. The South West Coast Path runs right through the town if you're walking.
