Apartment 12
Apartment 12 is on Bedford Road in Paignton. It's a second-floor flat, so there are a few stairs up to it. The building itself is nothing special from the outside, but the view from the front room is good. There's a big bay window that looks straight over the gardens and out to sea.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed, the other has two singles. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and everything works, but don't expect anything luxurious. It's a good, solid base.
You really can't get much closer to the seafront. Walk out the door and you're there in a minute. Everything's on the strip: the beach, the pier, crazy golf, arcades, a big cinema, and plenty of places to eat. It's busy in summer, which is either what you want or it isn't.
For a quieter time, the harbour at Brixham is about fifteen minutes by car. Torquay Marina is roughly the same. The steam railway to Dartmouth is a short walk from the flat, that's a nice thing to do on a sunny afternoon.
Inside, it's all open plan. Kitchen, lounge, and dining area are together. The Wi-Fi works, the TV's there, there's parking on site, and all your bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
