Laurel Cottage is in Stoke Gabriel village, right near the quay. It's thatched and covered in wisteria. It dates from the 1300s.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. The stairs are steep because it's old. That's just how it is. The cottage is detached and you get a front and back garden.
It has a 5 Star rating. Everything is clean and works as it should. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
The shop is 50 yards away, the pub is a bit further on. The quay is lovely, just a couple of minutes' walk.
Totnes is about ten minutes by car. It's good for a wander, lots of interesting shops and a market. The beach at Goodrington is maybe 15 minutes away. Brixham, Paignton, and Torquay are all easy to get to for a day by the sea.
Dartmouth is about 20 minutes if you drive around, or you can go to Totnes and get the ferry down the river, which is a nice trip.
If you're planning walks or days out, these sites are useful: National Trust Devon and Dartmoor National Park. Dartmoor is roughly half an hour's drive.
