Tuckenhay, 4 Castle Cottage
This is 4 Castle Cottage in Tuckenhay. It's one of several cottages converted from the old mill buildings here. You're right on Bow Creek, which is a little inlet off the River Dart. It's very peaceful.
The cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's parking on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The place has everything you'd need: wifi, a TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding is included and we can provide a cot and highchair. You share access to the site's facilities, which include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a games room, and a sauna. There's also a kids' play area.
You can walk to the local pub along the creek. For shops, Totnes is about a 10 minute drive and Dartmouth is about 15 minutes. Both have plenty of places to eat.
You're well placed for the coast. Blackpool Sands beach is about 20 minutes by car. Bantham, for surfing, is about half an hour. The South West Coast Path is easily accessible from lots of points along the river.
For days out, the National Trust's Greenway, Agatha Christie's former home, is nearby on the river. Dartmoor is about a 40 minute drive for walking.
