This is 1 Salle Cottage in Tuckenhay. It's part of a converted mill complex by Bow Creek, which is an inlet off the River Dart. You're in the valley here, so it's quiet and green.
The cottage itself sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is useful. It has a 4 Star rating. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level, which some people prefer. The layout is open plan.
You get your own parking space. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding is included, and we can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The main thing here is the shared facilities on the mill site. There are two indoor swimming pools and one outdoor pool. There's also a games room and a sauna. There's a kids' play area too. You can walk down to the creek from the gardens.
There's a pub and restaurant you can walk to along the lane. For a bigger shop, you'd need to drive to Totnes, which is about three miles away.
Location wise, you're inland here. Dartmouth is about five miles away, down the river. The coast at places like Blackpool Sands is about a 20 minute drive. The nearest surfing beach is Bantham, about half an hour away. Dartmoor is within a 30 minute drive for walking.
