Platform One is the ground floor apartment of our house. It's at Goodrington, on the edge of Paignton. It's on the level, so no stairs inside.
It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's clean, modern, and has everything you need for a week. We let one well-behaved dog stay too.
The main thing is the view. The living room looks straight out over the steam railway line that runs along the coast. The trains chuff past a few times a day. It's quite a sight. You get your own little patio out there to watch from.
You're right by Youngs Park. Goodrington Beach is a five minute walk down the hill. The sand is good, the water's clean. The station for the steam railway is about the same walk away.
There's a shop, cafes, and places to eat within a few minutes' walk. Paignton town centre is about fifteen minutes on foot if you want more choice. Torquay is a short drive or bus ride.
If you're driving, Paignton Zoo is about ten minutes away. Babbacombe Model Village is maybe fifteen. The whole coast around here is a UNESCO Global Geopark, which means the landscape is special.
It's got its own parking space. There's wifi. We provide a cot if you need one. The patio is enclosed, so it's secure for a dog.
