Ocean Shangri La is a first-floor apartment in Torquay. It's part of Bay Fort Mansions, a converted Victorian villa. The main thing is the view. You've got a 20-metre balcony looking right out over the harbour, the bay, and the sea across to Paignton and Brixham.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The 4 Star rating means it's comfortable and well-equipped. You can get to the balcony from the living room and two of the bedrooms. There's furniture out there so you can sit with a coffee and just watch everything.
It's on the level ground floor, which is good for accessibility. There's a lift as well. You get one parking space on site.
The facilities are what you'd expect: wifi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. There's a bit of bicycle storage if you need it.
You're right on the seafront. The Royal Terrace Gardens are a nice walk down to the harbour level. The view from up there is the same one you get from the balcony, just from a different angle. You can see the boats, and on a very clear day, you can see Dartmoor in the distance.
Torquay town centre and the marina are a short walk down the hill. For wider trips, the whole of the English Riviera is on your doorstep. Paignton and Brixham are just along the coast, both within a fifteen-minute drive. Dartmoor is about half an hour away if you fancy a change from the sea.
