Lapwing 4 - The Cove
Lapwing 4 is a first-floor flat in a new development called The Cove, just outside Brixham. It's got two bedrooms so it sleeps four. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and in good order.
You're on the first row of buildings, so the view from the private balcony is good. You look out over Battery Park and across the bay. You can see the sea. The patio doors open right onto it. It's sheltered down there, so you often see sailing boats and people fishing.
Inside, it's all new and done in a modern way. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site.
The development has a shared outdoor swimming pool.
You're basically on the edge of Brixham. It's a proper working fishing harbour. The town centre, with the shops and fish market, is about a mile away. You can walk it along the coast path. The beach at St Mary's Bay is just a few minutes' walk down the hill.
For a bigger beach, you can drive to Broadsands. It's about five minutes. Good Sandcastle sand. Good for swimming.
If you want to explore, you're in a decent spot. Paignton and its zoo are about twenty minutes by car. Torquay is about half an hour. Dartmouth is maybe twenty-five minutes. For a proper day out, you can get the ferry from Brixham to Torquay or Paignton in the summer.
