Old Seaway Mews is a cottage on the edge of Torquay. It's a modern conversion, so it's a bit of an upside-down layout. You come in on the ground floor, which is basically a utility room with a washing machine and space for muddy boots and wet coats. There's a door there to a gym room that the owner has set up. You’re welcome to use it, just ask.
Upstairs is where you live. It’s all one open-plan room with the kitchen, a dining table, and the living area. It’s bright. The sofa turns into a double bed if you need it. Through a door is the bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room. From the bedroom, there’s another door that goes down some steps to a small private terrace with a table and chairs.
It sleeps four, but two would be on the sofa bed in the living room. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s clean and comfortable.
The location is good for getting out. You can walk to a couple of local pubs in about ten minutes. The coast path and some small coves are under a mile away. There’s a quiet beach about a fifteen-minute walk.
By car, you’re five minutes from Shaldon and Teignmouth. Babbacombe and the centre of Torquay are about ten minutes. You can get to Brixham, Dawlish, or Exeter in half an hour. Dartmouth, Totnes, Dartmoor, and Plymouth are all within an hour’s drive if you fancy a day out.
It’s pet friendly, up to two dogs. There’s parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. The place has WiFi and a TV.
