The Cob Barn
The Cob Barn is our cottage on the farm here in Shaldon. It's detached, and you're up at the top of the lane so it's quiet. It sleeps four, two bedrooms, and it has two bathrooms which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
It shares a courtyard garden with The Old Piggery next door, but that's it. You've got your own privacy. The courtyard gets the sun in the afternoon.
You're on a working farm. We've got sheep, some kunekune pigs, miniature ponies, goats, and chickens. Kids usually like that.
It's about a twenty minute walk down into Shaldon village itself, or a couple of minutes in the car. Shaldon Beach is there, and the South West Coastal Path runs through. The Ness headland is a good walk. There's a local pub about half a mile away.
For a day out, Dartmoor is maybe twenty minutes by car. Exeter is about the same. The beaches at Teignmouth are just over the water, or you can drive round. For longer trips, places like Torquay, Brixham, or Totnes are all within half an hour.
In terms of what's here, we've put in a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a TV. There's wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
