Thatched Cottage is in Kingsteignton, a small town just outside Newton Abbot. It's a detached place, and it's quite big. You probably guessed from the name, but it has a thatched roof.
It sleeps twelve people. There are six bedrooms and five bathrooms, so you won't be queuing in the morning. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's been done to a good standard.
Downstairs, the main living area is open plan and very spacious. It's good for a big group. Three steps lead down from there into a games room. That's got a pool table, a darts board, a small bar, and a TV. The kitchen is separate and has everything you'd need.
Upstairs, all six bedrooms have a TV with Netflix. The garden is walled, so it's private and safe for dogs. There's a hot tub out there that seats five, a barbecue, and some picnic benches. There's parking on the drive.
The local shop and pub are about a five-minute walk away. Newton Abbot is two miles. You can walk or cycle there along a path through Hackney Marshes. It's a proper market town with shops and a racecourse.
The coast is close. Teignmouth beach is about three miles, Torquay and Paignton are a fifteen to twenty minute drive. For walks, you're right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. It's about a twenty minute drive to get up onto the moor itself.
For days out with kids, Paigpton Zoo and Crealy Adventure Park are nearby. The National Trust has a lot of properties and coast in the area, like Coleton Fishacre and the beach at Woolacombe.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, and stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs.
