Withymead Cottage is in Bishopsteignton, a village just inland from the coast. It's a detached cottage, but we live next door. The garden is yours though. It's enclosed and looks out over fields, which is nice in the evening.
It's for two people, plus maybe two children on the sofa bed if needed. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
You come in through a gate from the parking area, which is shared with us. The living space is all on one level. There's a wood burner, a decent kitchen, and big windows that let in a lot of light. One has a Juliet balcony. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and views of the fields.
The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. There's a BBQ and seating out there.
The village is less than a mile away. It's got a shop, a couple of pubs, and places to eat. There's a vineyard right next to the cottage. A public footpath runs right past the garden gate. It leads up to the Old Walls ruins, which are worth a look. You can also walk to the local brewery from here.
Teignmouth and Shaldon are about ten minutes by car. Dawlish is a bit further. The Teignmouth Golf Club is very close.
For a bigger day out, Exeter is roughly twenty minutes drive. Torquay and the rest of what they call the English Riviera are about half an hour. Dartmoor is within thirty minutes too, for walking.
Facilities wise: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a Smart TV. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are here if you need them. Parking is for two cars on the shared drive.
