Seacliff Cottage
Seacliff Cottage is in Strete, up on the cliffs above Slapton Sands. It's a detached house from the 1970s, and it's got three floors. The big thing is the view. You look straight out over the sea and along the coast towards Start Point. You can see the lighthouse.
It sleeps eight people. There are five bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. The layout is a bit different. The main living room is on the top floor to make the most of the view. There's a dining room on the middle floor, and a second, smaller sitting area leads off from one of the bedrooms.
There are balconies and decked terraces facing the sea. The stairs inside are steep and a bit narrow in places. We've left a stairgate at the bottom for little ones.
The beach, Slapton Sands, is about half a mile down the hill. It's a long pebble beach. The Slapton Ley nature reserve is right behind it. Good for a quiet walk if you're interested in birds.
There's a shop and a pub about a quarter of a mile away. The pub does food.
Facilities-wise: everything's included, like bedding, towels, electricity. There's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the drive.
