Captain's Haven is in Brixham, in a row of old fisherman's cottages right on the harbour wall. You're looking out over the boats in the inner harbour and Tor Bay.
It sleeps three. There's a double bedroom on the top floor that looks over the harbour. The second bedroom has bunk beds, but honestly they're really only suitable for quite young children. There's a bathroom on the ground floor with a good shower. There's also an extra toilet upstairs next to the bedrooms.
The lounge is on the first floor. It's got doors that open onto a little glass balcony with a seat. That's the spot to sit with a drink and watch the harbour. There's a TV and WiFi.
The kitchen is on the ground floor. It's got an oven, hob, dishwasher, and a table for four. It does the job.
The stairs in the cottage are the original ones, so they're quite steep and a bit narrow. Something to be aware of if you have mobility issues or very small children.
You're right in the middle of Brixham. Everything is on your doorstep. The shops, fish and chip shops, and plenty of pubs are all a minute's walk. You can be on the coastal path from the front door.
For a day out, you can get the ferry from the harbour across to Torquay. Paignton Zoo is about a 15 minute drive. Dartmouth is roughly half an hour away. The Brixham fishing heritage is worth looking into, and the National Trust's Overbeck's is a nice visit about a 20 minute drive along the coast.
Facilities: it has towels and bedding included, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. No pets, I'm afraid.
