Bight Boatyard is a cottage in Dartmouth. It's right on the waterfront, on the Dart estuary.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. We allow up to three dogs.
Important things to know: it's on a boatyard, so there's a lift to reach it. After the lift, there are still a few proper stairs inside to get to the living area. Out the back, a courtyard opens directly onto the water. There's no guard rail, so you have to keep an eye on kids and pets. There's also a very old, covered well in the courtyard.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's a separate games room in the yard. Parking is on-site, which is valuable in Dartmouth.
The town is a few minutes' walk up the hill. You can mess about on the river from the bottom of the garden. The higher ferry into Dartmouth is just up the road.
For a swim, Blackpool Sands is about ten minutes by car. Slapton Sands is a bit further. You can walk from the door onto the South West Coast Path. Dartmouth Castle is a good walk along the river there. For a day out, you can get a boat upriver to Totnes, or the ferry across to Kingswear.
