Barnhay Cottage is in Stoke Gabriel. It's a five bedroom place, so it sleeps eight, but it's also fine for two if you want the space. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the view. You're up the hill a bit, so from the raised terrace you look right down over the Mill Pool. It's a proper view. You can see the water from a few of the windows too.
There's a living room and a dining room, both with gas fires. The kitchen has what you need. There's an interior courtyard off it, which is handy for dogs or wet coats.
The stairs are normal. There are two bathrooms. One has a shower.
You're right in the village, about a minute's walk from the shop and the pub. The Mill Pool and the quay are a short walk down the lane. People go crabbing there. You can hire kayaks and paddleboards on the river.
Totnes is about ten minutes by car. Good for shops and the castle. The coast at Torbay is maybe twenty minutes. Dartmouth is about twenty five minutes. Dartmoor National Park is half an hour or so.
Facilities: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. The garden is enclosed. You can bring two dogs.
