Earthspring Flat
Earthspring Flat is a self-contained apartment above a garage on the edge of Totnes. It's modern, timber-clad, an eco-build. It's for two people.
It has a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The space is open-plan, with a kitchen area at one end and the bed at the other. There's one bathroom. The stairs up to it are external and fairly steep.
The main thing is the balcony. It's private and looks out over a big forest garden and fields towards Dartmoor. You get the morning sun out there. Inside, the windows are large, so it's light. You can see Totnes Castle from the living area.
It's quiet up here, but you can walk into the town centre in about ten minutes. Totnes has its own character, lots of independent shops and cafes. There's a market on Fridays and Saturdays. The River Dart is there for walks or boat trips.
For a day out, Dartmoor is on your doorstep, about a 15-minute drive to the edge of it. The coast at places like Blackpool Sands or Bantham is within half an hour. Dartmouth and Salcombe are also about 30 minutes by car.
Facilities: WiFi, parking right outside, bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a patio area and access to the large garden below the balcony. The heating and hot water come from solar panels.
