Laplands

Laplands is in Moreleigh, about twenty minutes from Totnes. It's a big converted barn on its own land, for groups. It sleeps twenty-two, and there are eleven bedrooms and eleven bathrooms. It's a 5 Star property, which mainly means it's well-equipped and modern.

It's really two houses joined together, so you get two front doors off a shared courtyard. The main part has the big shared living space for everyone.

The kitchen is large and has everything you'd need for cooking for a crowd. There's an island and a big dining table that seats everyone. Off that main room, there are three separate living areas. One has a large TV, one is set up as a cinema room with another big TV, and the third has a bar area with games like pool and table football. That one also has a TV.

All eleven bedrooms are en-suite, so no one has to queue for a shower. Three of the rooms are set up as twins but can be made into super king beds if you ask beforehand.

Outside, there's a courtyard and a garden. There's an outdoor kitchen with a built-in charcoal BBQ, a dining set, and a hot tub. There's also space for football and a table tennis table.

The property is in the South Hams countryside. The local village has a pub. For beaches, you're looking at a twenty to thirty minute drive to places like Bantham or Blackpool Sands. Totnes is about fifteen minutes away for shops. Dartmouth and its castle are about twenty-five minutes.

For walks and days out, the South Devon National Landscape website is useful, and the National Trust has lots of nearby properties like Coleton Fishacre and the Dart Estuary.

Practical things: all bedding and towels are included, there's a washing machine and dishwasher. There's parking on site, including an electric vehicle charger. A cot and highchair are here if you need them. No pets.
