Woodpecker Barn
Woodpecker Barn is near Ipplepen, in South Devon. It's a converted barn on a small site with a few other holiday homes. Sleeps seven, in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. There's a wood burner. The garden is private, just for you. Parking is on site.
The site itself has a few things. There's an indoor heated pool you can book slots for. There's a games room with a pool table and table tennis. There's also a kids' playground and a big field called The Meadow for running about in. If you have an electric car, there's a charger.
You're about five miles from the coast at Torbay. Torquay and Paignton are the nearest, with beaches and harbours. Paignton Zoo is a big draw for families, about six miles away.
Totnes is close, maybe ten minutes by car. It's an interesting town with a castle and an indoor market. Dartmoor is about twenty minutes north. Good for walks. You can drive to the south coast for the proper seaside, places like Brixham or Dartmouth, in under half an hour.
