Squirrel Cottage
Squirrel Cottage is in Windermere, near the top of the high street. It's down one of the side streets, so it's quiet. You can get to all the shops and pubs in about a minute.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's been done up nicely. The stairs are typical for a cottage, so you need to watch your head a bit.
There's a decent-sized yard out the back, surrounded by slate walls. It's private, you can sit out there. It's more of a yard than a garden.
For walking, you can leave straight from the door. You can follow the paths down to the lake, or if you want to go up onto the fells, you can get to those too. The train station is close by, and there are good bus services if you don't want to drive.
There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. There's a good supermarket just up the road as well.
Facilities wise, it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding is included. You can bring one dog.
