Bow Rigg
This is Bow Rigg. It's a first-floor apartment in Bowness on Windermere. You're right in the town, but the flat itself is quiet. It's up a communal stairway.
It sleeps four, in two double bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a bath and an electric shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is compact, but it's been done up. The kitchen is new. The living area opens onto a west-facing balcony. You get a view of the lake from there, and it catches the afternoon sun.
Bowness is on your doorstep. The lake is a couple of minutes' walk. You can get the boats from there. The Windermere Lake Cruises go to Ambleside or down to Lakeside. Beatrix Potter World and the cinema are in the town too.
For walking, Orrest Head is popular. It's not a long walk and the view from the top is worth it. You can drive to the bigger fells easily. Grasmere is about a twenty minute drive. The gingerbread shop is there if you want it.
