The Round Window
The Round Window is a one bedroom apartment for two. It's on the top floor of the old stables here in Bowness on Windermere. You get a dedicated parking space.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean. The main thing to know is the access. You get in via an external metal spiral staircase. It's a bit tight. Once you're up there, it's a good space.
The location is the main draw. You're less than a minute's walk from the centre of Bowness. All the cafes, pubs, and shops are right there. The lake is a five minute walk down the hill.
From the lake, you can get on the steamer boats to Ambleside or Lakeside. The bus and train stations are close if you want to go further without the car. For walking, you can start right from the door. A gentle stroll to the lake, or you can drive out to the fells.
Inside, there's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. All the utilities are covered.
